Isabel is a native of Melbourne Australia. She has a father who is Australian and her mother Swiss. Her family lived in Switzerland Melbourne Jabiru a small mining town located in the Northern Territory and Cairns Australia. Along with their sister Nina she attended schools that were home to First Nations children as well as other children of different cultures. Isabel is currently living in Byron Bay NSW Australia. Isabel was involved in drama since her primary school years. After graduating from the Queensland University of Technology, she continued her studies in drama at the Victorian College of Arts.
